sk ii mask tried and tested
I have sensitive skin, acne prone skin that is beginning to show my age. Laugh lines are obvious even when I'm not smiling. The problem is, every anti-wrinkle cream or mask or treatment I have tried gives me a pimple breakout.
I bought the SK II Facial Treatment Mask and tried that. It worked wonders for the women around me. Even my beautician, who promotes Payot says the SK II Mask is really very good. It should be safe enough for me.
Ordered that online, as usual. Saves time and money.
I got my package and waited until bedtime to use it. An hour before going to bed, all cleaned up and in my night clothes, I washed my face with my usual cleanser, dried my face. Then I opened the package. The entire packaging for SK II, the instructions and all were in Japanese!! I can't read that language.
Thankfully, the ads for this mask made it clear as to how to use it. Just put it on your face. There are holes for your eyes, nose and mouth, so you can't go wrong with the placement of that mask. There are slits in the mask to allow you to overlap it slightly so it will fit over your face nicely.

That mask felt so comfortable. Very soothing, instantly. Very relaxing. I decided to go to bed with the mask on. Couldn't sleep as usual as it takes ages for me to doze off. More than an hour later, I removed the SK II Mask. It was still moist. Rather than waste it, I used it as a sponge and wiped my arms and legs as well to moisturize them.
Immediately after use, my skin looked smoother and softer. Much better. I would use it right before a big occasion. Just before leaving my home. Don't need any foundation with that as it makes skin look really good.
The next day, I saw a new pimple. As usual. Still, considering the major break outs I get for any anti-wrinkle treatment, that reaction is slight.
I thought about it again as no one else I know of has had any adverse reaction to this mask. That pimple could be due to stress, or PMS (I get break outs during that time of the month, which happens to be when I used this mask. Also, I have gone for an allergy test before and found that I'm allergic to yeast. SK II's patented ingredient is derived from yeast. Also, I could have left it on too long. I can't read Japanese. I found out later that you are to leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. I left it on much longer than that.
I'll try it again when it is time for my next treatment mask. It sure is cheaper than a professional facial.
