The ad claims it is even better than a $350 cream. No name was mentioned but I can make some guesses. That left an impact. From my experience, the drugstore brands (I tried so many) gave me breakouts. The best one I've ever used happened to be the most expensive by far at $170 for a tiny bottle, but that cleared my skin and my skin never looked better than while I was on it.

If there is an inexpensive face cream that can deliver the results of those expensive ones my skin prefers by far, I want it!

Maybe it is possible for a cheap cream to have great results if they are a huge brand that has funds for R&D and has a brilliant team behind the research. Maybe the cost of R&D and various fixed costs of doing business can be spread out enormously to bring down the price of the end product.

What works? What doesn't?

That depends on the individual. I know of people who swear by Shiseido claiming Shiseido is the only thing that works on them. I know of others who swear at Shiseido, claiming it gives them break outs. I have a cousin who loves Elizabeth Arden as it is the only thing that works on her sensitive skin but when I try it, my skin breaks out.
