Naturally Glamorous Makeup For Fall 2008 to Winter 2009

Jane Staying Powder Loose Staying Powder, Sheer Shimmer

This season, Anna Sui and Chanel sent their models out with barely there makeup to showcase their gorgeous outfits for Fall 2008 thru Winter 2009.

Anna Sui's collection, with its brilliant blue, silver, white and red prints dominating the outfits looked fabulous on these natural beauties.

Chanel was totally sophisticated. Great work suits. Elegant, ladylike in black and neutrals. These too were set off beautifully with naturally glamorous makeup.

Natural makeup with a touch of glamour goes with everything. Here's how you can create the look yourself.

Boots No7 Bronze Shimmer Powder

Prep time: First, get rid of the dark circles. Get yourself
1. After cleansing, toning and moisturizing your face, apply a foundation that matches your skin exactly. Mix 2 foundations if you must, just to get your exact shade. Then apply sparing, dotting the mixture on forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Blend in completely with your fingers until the foundation disappears into your skin.

2. Use a dot of pink cream blush or gel blush, like tarte cheek stain on your cheeks, where you would naturally blush. Blend the blush into your skin until it fades into a healthy glow, the way you might flush after a great workout.. Make it look natural. If your skin is fair, go for a lighter shade that will look natural. If your skin is dark, go for a darker shade that would show up on your skin.

3. Apply a medium brown eyeshadow over your eyelids from lashes to crease. Extemd the shadow beyond the outer edge of both eyes, to the brow bone. Line under both eyes with the edge of the eyeshadow brush and that brown eyeshadow.

4. Line the inside of each lower eyelid with a white eyepencil. Use a shimmery white or very pale liquid liner on the outside of the inner corner of the eyes.

5. Pluck your eyebrows sparingly to neaten them. Remove just the stray hairs and comb and trim the rest. Use a dark powder eyeshadow to color the eyebrows.

6. Dust a pale eye shimmer over the center of the eyelid and on the brow bone.

7. Apply a single coat of mascara on lashes and separate the lashes immediately with a clean mascara brush.

8. Dust white shimmer powder on the forehead, on the bridge of the nose, the tops of cheekbones and on the chin for that glow seen on models this season.

9. Choose a lipstick in a rosy hue. At very least, mix a red (pink if you are very fair) lipstick with a little brown lipstick to get a semi-nude shade. The ideal shade would be the color inside your lip. Use a lip brush to apply this color to your lips.

10. Apply a clear lip gloss over the center of your lip. With a white shimmer liner, draw a fine line on the bow over the center of the upper lip.
